Abominable The Movie- A Review

In my life, I have watched a lot of movies, but there are very few that stick in your mind and heart. This week we were sent the DVD of Abominable and I’m sharing my thoughts and opinions of this super fun movie with you.

A while back, Sylvia and John went to the movies to see Abominable and it was without a doubt one of the best movies they had seen in some time. Sylvia was excited to watch the movie again on DVD in the home with me and we had a fun movie night on Friday with plenty of popcorn and treats!

A movie about a yeti is a lot of fun and there were lots of cute surprises in this movie. When you get a chance, be sure to buy the DVD and see Abominable by DreamWorks. You don’t want to miss this!

My Thoughts on Abominable

When I watch a movie, a lot of different opinions always form in my head. Is this going to be kid-friendly? Will this movie make me laugh? Will it be cheesy? Abominable is a cute movie, but it’s perfect for a family to sit through.

When a girl named Yi finds a Yeti on her roof, she works really hard to connect him back with his family. Just like any other movie, there are a lot of obstacles that the pair need to overcome before they can reunite him with this family. An evil zoologist is doing everything in his power to make sure Yi can’t get the Yeti back home.

I thought that this movie was very heartwarming. It was so fun to see Yi and the Yeti throughout the movie. They had some serious moments, but they also had a lot of fun moments. They had us laughing a lot throughout the movie.

I enjoyed looking over and seeing Sylvia laughing. She has such a sweet and carefree laugh. It was a special evening that we got to spend together. I enjoyed hanging with her at home and just being together watching her enjoy the movie Abominable

There are a lot of movies out these days, but I appreciated that this was a kid-friendly movie that I could watch with my daughter. The characters are cute and the storyline is exciting but also easy to follow.

Fun Characters in the Movie, Abominable

I’m a huge believer that characters really make the movie what it is. In the movie Abominable, the characters truly did make the movie.

  • Chloe Bennet played Yi in the movie
  • Tenzing Norgay Trainor played Jim
  • Albert Tsai played Peng
  • Eddie Izzard played Burnish
  • Sarah Paulson played Dr. Zara
  • Tsai Chin played Nai Nai

I loved all the characters and their voices, plus what they brought to the table! It was inspiring to hear their voices and see how they were dedicated to bringing the movie Abominable to life.

Abominable is out now on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray™ and DVD 10th February from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

I hope you get a chance to see the movie Abominable. If you do go see it, let me know what you think, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

If you love the movie, then why not buy your very own Abominable Yeti! Everest is super cute and so is this cute plush Yeti!
