Young parents know that there is nothing better than children, and there is nothing worse than feeling that you don’t know what to do in this or that situation. Therefore, for many mothers and fathers, it is so important to find their blogger, who can say in time: “It’s okay, this happened to me too. By the way, here’s a working way to solve your problem.” And as a bonus, will give useful advice or tell a funny story that can calm you down.

That’s why today, we decided to talk about parent blogs. Namely, how to start and what will help to promote it higher in the search.

Why Start a Parenting Blog?

The short answer is to help other parents. Someone comes to bloggers for motivation. Someone for information. There is a lot of it on the Internet, but alas, not everything is useful or based on parental experience. But if you filter it, then parents can get part of the knowledge absolutely for free.

Secondly, the parent blog is about communication, feedback, and a kind of relaxation. In blogs, parents discuss a lot of things, exchange experiences and information.

And, of course, the parent blog is about monetization. Consistently high-quality digital content and established communication with subscribers is a good basis for passive income, this is true for any type of blog. However, it is worth remembering that parent blogs are based on trust between the author and readers. So if it has too many ads or links to dubious products, trust can be destroyed. Experienced bloggers know this and maintain a balance between useful content and relevant sponsored posts.

Powerful tips and tricks on blog’s creation and promotion

#1. Choose Your Niche Wisely

A blog needs a niche, that is, a narrow topic on which you will begin your authorship. Why is it not profitable to write about everything at once?

Firstly, there are a lot of such blogs, and competition can nullify your efforts. On the other hand, a blog that specializes in certain topics looks more expert in the eyes of readers. A niche blog makes people feel like they’ve found a solution to a problem, feel like they belong to a community.

The usual top parenting blogs are about traveling with kids, healthy eating for kids, kids’ art, parenting tips, and problem child behavior.

#2. Write About Topics That Other Parents Are Looking For in Search Engines

For your blog to succeed, you need to write about topics that people are looking for. How to find them? Using a keyword research tool that will boost your content’s SEO and turn your blog up in Google.

There are many more free keyword tools out there, so take your pick.

#3. Analyze What Competitors (Or Fellow Parents-Bloggers) Write About

Here we mean repeating the success of the most read articles of other blogging parents. If an article has a lot of readers, then other parents are concerned about the issue described. Read the article and, from a parent’s point of view, understand what wasn’t covered well. Once you understand, start writing the answer to this question. In a word, improve someone else’s content.

#4. Join the Communities

Don’t underestimate the power of like-minded people. Join the community of other bloggers who share useful promotion resources, advertiser contacts, and interesting brands. There are also groups specifically designed to share your posts, tweets, etc., with each other, which can give you a boost in views. Chat with other bloggers, share each other’s content, publish guest posts on other people’s sites. Go commenting and get noticed.

#5. Cover All Social Media

Sign up for social media accounts with at least the big four – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest with your blog name and start posting, chatting, and sharing.

Be sure to make the content you want to publish catchy – remember, that the majority of people love with their eyes. Use a visual content creation tool such as a video editor for editing videos or screen recording software to create video tutorials or educational videos or simply record giveaway results if you hold one.

#6. Try different content formats

As you know, in recent years, there has been a shift in blogging towards visual and dynamic content – video. YouTube is the second most visited resource in the world after Google. Now the platform has a 2 billion monthly audience. Therefore, don’t ignore this format, thinking that it requires a lot of money.

All you need is a web camera and a simple online video editor to make a review of a “mom” product, give advice on parenting or tell a funny story. No complex skills or university degrees are required.

#7. Sign Up for Google Adsense

Google AdSense is a free and convenient way to make money from your blog. You can place different types of ads on your site or search page and earn on each click of visitors or on the number of views, achieving even bigger blog goals. This is why the more targeted your audience is, the more targeted your ads are, meaning visitors are more likely to click on your ads and possibly buy the product.

To use the service, you will need to have a Google email account. Your blog must also have its own domain and not be hosted on the Tumblr, Blogspot, and WordPress platforms.

#8. Don’t Be Afraid to Ask For Help

Just sitting and waiting for manna is a bad way. Be sure to tell your friends about your creation: “Guys, I started my own blog, please, support me.” Tag the specialists you write about, and other users will start to see you.

The secret to a successful blog is one thing – to keep developing it. If you set out to develop, you need to constantly prepare content, think, read, follow inspirational blogs, ask, and share. You can’t be a blogger for a week and not be a blogger next week because the child is sick. Every day you are fighting for the audience, and in order to win its loyalty, you need to stay with it all the time.

It is crucial to believe in yourself and continue blogging as an online diary. Even if it doesn’t enter the top 10, in the future, it will remind you of pleasant family moments.
