In collaboration with Kigurumi
If you follow The Inspiration Edit, you may be aware that we love dressing up. We also love everything cute from unicorns to super cute bears and my daughter is a huge fan of Japanese anime and culture.
So you can imagine when we were offered the chance to review a Kigurumi onesie Sylvia was super happy. She was keen to hop online and check out the fantastic range of onesies available at Kigurumi.com
Sylvia picked out a bear Kigurumi which happens to be her first Kigurumi onesie. Hopefully the first of many…because who doesn’t love to lounge around at home in a super cute onesie!
What Is Kigurumi?
Kigurumi is the Japanese term for costumed character. The Kigurumi onesie therefore is a onesie which can be used in the home or out of the home for dressing up as a specific character, preferably an animal.
A Kigurumi onesie may feature a certain animal or anime character such as the famous Pokemon characters, Pikachu and Jigglypuff.
Not only can you wear this onesie at home or on a cold winters night, these super cute onesies for kids, teenagers and adults are great for both dancing, cuddling or simply lounging around.
In Japan it’s not uncommon to see people walking around in a onesie as a cosplay outfit or dancing the night away at an event.
How to Wash a Kigurumi Onesie
If you’re wondering the best way or how to wash the kigurumi onesie then the answer is super simple. A kigurumi can be washed in a washing machine on the cold setting. However it is advised that the onesie is turned inside out before washing to protect the delicate parts of the onesie.
You can dry a Kigurumi in a dryer on the gentlest and most coolest setting but it is best to hang on the line and leave to dry naturally.
Cute Bear Kigurumi
Sylvia loved many of the Kigurumi onesies over on the website, however she chose this super cute bear Kigurumi. This specific onesie is called the KORILAKKUMA Kigurumi. It has a fun bear face, a large red button and a bears tail at the back.
The inside of the Kigurumi has pink polka dots and is a really nice soft material.
This Kigurumi is really fun to wear, my daughter loves it and she would love to get some more onesies in different styles. If you are interested in checking out the range of animal and manga onesies available then check out these ones over at Kigurumi.com
