Last week I read a Facebook post by Vicki Psarias, from Honestmum where she mentioned that her son really knows that she is a blogger. The thought crossed my mind, does my daughter know I’m a blogger and so I began a conversation, one which I’ve decided to share as my post today.

A Conversation Between Mother and Child

Me- “Sylvia, Who am I?”

Sylvia- “Mum”

Me- “But who am I really?”

Sylvia- “A lovely Mum”

Me- “Who else am I?”

Sylvia – “A Lovely Grown Up”

Me – “But who else?”

Sylvia- “You’re a Wonderful Grownup”

(At this time it became a game)

Me- “Who else am I?”

Sylvia – “A Darling Mum”

Me- “And who else?”

Sylvia- “You’re a cute and gorgeous mum”

Me- “Am I anything else?”

Sylvia- “Yes you’re a poorly mum”

Me- “That’s True- anything else?”

Sylvia- “You’re a Blogging Mum”

(I’m thinking- At last she said it! Yes she knows I’m a mummy blogger lol)

Then I ask her  “What’s my blogging name?”

Sylvia “Angela Milnes”

Me- “And what is my blog called?”

Sylvia “thinspirationaledit.com”

Yes, this was a funny conversation and yes my daughter knows I’m a blogger. She knows my website URL, but the most important thing to my child is that I’m a Mother! Whether it’s a beautiful mum, a kind mum, a poorly mum, a blogging mum, I am a Mother and at the end of the day, this is the most important thing!

Being a Mother is to me the most important role I can ever have and I am grateful for the opportunity to raise my beautiful child.

  1. Ah yes this is just beautiful. The most important thing is that we are mums and our kids know that.

  2. I love the fact that Sylvia described you so fully as a mum – as a lovely, darling, cute and gorgeous mum before being a poorly mum and only then described you as a blogging mum. So nice to see that the most important thing that makes you who you are in her eyes is that you are a mum and that everything else that is part of that comes second. Thanks for linking up to #ftmob 🙂

    1. Thanks Louise. It was a lesson for me and something I had to share… I may be sick and many other things but my child loves me and knows who I am and that means the world to me!

  3. It is a wonderful conversation. Louise, you are very lucky that you daughter describes you as a cute and a gorgeous mom. The best thing about the kids is that kids do not lie and nothing can make a mom more happy than knowing that your kids like you and care about you.
