Beatrix Potter happens to be an author I grew up reading and one I love to this day. I recently wrote a blog post called Reading the Beatrix Potter series in Style and today I wanted to share the 23 original tales created by Beatrix Potter between 1902 and 1930.

These tales are both sweet, charming and and fun to read. I love both the stories and the illustrations and am finding re-reading the series really fun at the moment. So without further chat, here are the 23 original tales written by Beatrix Potter.

  1. I am disappointed in myself that I did not know most of these titles. That is sweet merchandise to go with it. Have you visited the museum in Gloucester – it is really wonderful seeing the originals.

  2. I loved reading Peter Rabbit when I was a kid, but I didn’t know about many of these other stories. I’ll have to read some of these with my friends’ kids!

  3. I remember some of these stories and haven’t heard of some. I am going to look them up and read them to my son! Great stories!

  4. We love Peter Rabbit in our house! But I never looked into all the other works that Beatrix Potter wrote! Guess I’ll have to start checking out a few from the library! Thanks for the list!

  6. I haven’t heard of her. Maybe because I am really not looking at the author on children’s books. My niece loves books, I will definitely look for this list 🙂

    1. Yes I think reading Little boxes always fun. They’re not too long I’m just perfect length for a young child.

  7. I didn’t realize that Beatrix Potter wrote so many books! I recall their name and Peter Rabbit, but I don’t know if I’ve read any others.

  8. I love Beatrix Potter! She was truly an imaginative and creative woman of her time. My sister loves reading these books and the colorful illustrations.

  9. i used to love these stories as a little girl -in fact I still do! I just bought the whole box set to read to my niece when she’s old enough – I hope she’ll grow to love them as much as I did

  10. This story reminds me my childhood. I still remember I used to do things from which my mama forbades me. Just like Peter rabbit. Her mother tells him not to go to Mr. McGregor’s farm. But as he is a naughty rabbit, He still goes and faces troubles.
