What Is Furby Connect?

Sylvia and I love being part of the Hasbro Toy testing team and recently we were sent a brand new blue Furby  to review. I had never heard of a Furby Connect before however Sylvia had seen the recently released Furby on television and she was super excited to become the owner of her very own Furby Connect.

What Is Furby Connect?

Furby Connect is a cute little creature which has Hamster and Owl like features. The new Furby has brilliant LED eyes, large twitching ears and can sing, dance and talk. In all fairness he is a cute ball of fluff full of energy with many things to say. The Furby is aware of his surroundings and interacts accordingly.

When you get the Furby out of the packaging you will need to add four AA batteries. Then Furby perks up and begins his life. One fantastic thing about Furby Connect is that the little creature can connect to an electronic device such as an iPhone.

Connecting Furby for the First Time

When we connected Furby for the first time to Sylvia’s iPod, she was asked to choose a name for her new Furby, as she picked out possible names, the Furby character jived and jigged and gave opinions on the name choices. It made the whole family laugh instantly and was really quite fun.

Using a Smartphone With Furby Connect

Connecting to a smartphone or tablet enables Furby to get regular updates. He has an antenna which doubles as a joystick for playing games on the Furby Connect App. The antenna also lights up when there is a new content to download for Furby which could be a new song or more words to add to the Furbish dictionary.

The Furby is a fun toy pet and Sylvia absolutely loves hers. She named her blue Furby Bee-Dah  She has to take care of him and has already hatched some baby Furblings on the app. The Furby does not stop talking and is very intuitive. He can recognise certain actions and respond.

Furby Connect

Some of the ways to interact with Furby Connect is to hold Furby, shake him, talk to him, play music to him, feed and tickle him. Furby is intelligent and responds. Playing with Furby is really fun and the whole family could not stop laughing at some of the silly and funny phrases he came out with.

Furby Connect can lays digital eggs and can poop out all kind of things digitally when you place him on the screen of your smartphone or device.

Furby Connect

I think the Furby is a fantastic toy. He is adorable and cute and funny. He can talk too much at times and drive you bonkers but that’s okay because he has a sleeping mask which puts him to sleep when your ready for a break.

Furby Connect

I think Sylvia is going to have hours of fun with her new Furby. It’s  a fantastic toy for her to use alongside the app which is age appropriate and has child-friendly videos and music.

Furby Connect  is a big hit in our home and I suspect he will keep Sylvia very busy.
