How to Brush Your Teeth for Kids

Before we take a look at the fantastic tooth brushing songs I’d like to take a moment to say why it is important to teeth a child how to brush their teeth.

Children learn and form habits from a young age. If you begin early to teach tooth brushing skills then the chances of your child having good oral health as an adult is much greater. In fact, the pediatric dentist in coconut grove FL encourages parents to cultivate good oral hygiene practices so that their kids will develop better oral care as they grow.

You can begin by giving your baby a tooth brush as soon as they get teeth. There are special baby toothbrushes in most supermarkets with soft bristles and you don’t even need to put toothpaste on the brush.

You can use water and just have your little one get used to the idea of using the toothbrush.

As your infant develops more teeth you can purchase toothpaste for children under two years of age and place a pea size amount of toothpaste onto the brush head.

As a little girl I used Aquafresh and Colgate which are brands my own dentist recommends. There are a lot of toothpastes out there for kids. We shop at Aldi and go for the kids branded tooth paste in store.
