Sausages and Chips In Space We Love Dogs and Cats

Sausages and Chips In Space We Love Dogs and Cats

Last week Sylvia received a lovely book in the mail called Sausages and Chips In Space. The book is the first in a series of ten, written by Rick Joyce and illustrated by Cassie Gregory.

Sausages and Chips

My daughter Sylvia is a huge fan of animals. She currently wants to be a vet when she grows up and she is particularly fond of dogs and cats. In the series Chips is a Siamese Cat who is always ready to learn new things while on adventures with her Dog pal Sausage.

In the book Sausages and Chips In Space, the siamese cat and dachshund dog travel in their space ship to outer space. They go on a lovely adventure meeting strange creatures, including a giant mouse.

After school Sylvia can choose to read her reading book or a book of her own choice. As soon as she saw her new book she was very excited and willing to read. The pages are well illustrated and the storyline interesting enough they kept her reading the whole way through.

Sausages and chips

I do think the book is at the right level for Sylvia to read on her own and great for younger kids if read by the parent. The words are simple enough to understand and the story has a good flow to it.

Sausages and chips

We really do enjoy reading new books especially ones we can keep and add to our collection and this Sausage and Chips book does not disappoint. Sylvia enjoyed reading the book out loud and I enjoyed hearing the story too.

Sausages and chips

We did like the first book in the Sausage and Chips series and look forward to the next book, Sausages and Chips in the jungle coming out soon. Thanks for the opportunity to review the book.

*We were gifted this book in return for an honest review

What a lovely book! I can’t wait for Lily to be able to read stories to me; she does now but only because she has memorised them 🙂 We are currently working on the Alphabet she can sing it but we are now progressing to trying to teach letters! #KLTR x
