Poptropica Mystery of The Map and The Lost Expedition

Today I am sharing a New York Times Bestselling series called Poptropica. Printed by Amulet Books the Poptropica series are graphic novels full of action, comedy and great stories.

Poptropica is the self-discovery app for kids which allows them to learn as they play. It’s become a global sensation that reaches more than 100 countries across the world, and with around 5 million downloads across iOS, Android and Amazon, Poptropica is a hit with adventurous boys and girls alike! The brand has since branched into books which are available to buy on Amazon.

We were sent Poptropica The Mystery of the Map and Poptropica The Lost Expedition to review and I can honestly say they have fantastic illustrations by Kory Merritt, fun and interesting stories.

Poptropica The Mystery of the Map written by Jack Chabert begins with a hot air balloon journey which crash lands onto an unknown island.

The journey home is somewhat exciting as the group of characters, Oliver, Mya and Jorge meet extinct animals, angry Vikings and fall down a huge waterfall. The illustrations are brilliant and the story is fun to read.

Poptropica The Lost Expedition is written by Mitch Krpata. Again the three characters Oliver, Mya and Jorge are on an adventure. This time the the group find themselves in a snowy land with a scary polar bear with Octavian hot on their trail.

Again each chapter is full of adventures and it’s a really fun and interesting read. The story ends with the trio being captured and taken to a far away land ready for the next escape and adventure. We are excited to read the third book in the series which comes out in spring 2017.

We enjoyed reviewing these two books and they are a great series. I love that there are so many pictures and illustrations and just a few words as it gives us the opportunity to use our imaginations a little and discuss the pictures and opens the book up to all ages. This is a fantastic series!

I’ve never heard of these but they look great. Not sure my grandson is quite ready for these yet but I’d like to have a look at them myself. Maybe I’ll investigate if the library has copies.
